The Founder
Fred Raleigh,
Pharm.D., BCCP has practiced pharmacy for over 35 years since
graduating from the University of Southern California School of
Pharmacy in 1971.
Dr. Raleigh has academic appointments at the University of California
at San Francisco School of Pharmacy as a Clinical Professor of
Pharmacy and at the University of Southern California School of
Pharmacy as an Adjunct Professor of Pharmacy Practice. In addition,
he is also nationally registered as a Board Certified Psychiatric
Pharmacist.
In his 35 plus years as a pharmacist Fred has managed pharmacy
operations for a large State of California Forensic Mental Health
Hospital and California's Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation
Adult and Youth Divisions. During his career as a pharmacist Dr.
Raleigh has served in a consulting capacity as an expert witness
and for corporations assisting organizations to improve medication
management security and pharmacy systems issues and operations.

Fred
has also worked in community health care settings as a consultant
to skilled nursing facilities, private patients and health care
agencies. He has authored many health and medication related papers.
For over 15 years Fred has provided a medication question and answer
column in Plus Magazine that is distributed in the San Luis Obispo
County region of California. In addition Dr. Raleigh also provides
a medication insight column to a few of California's professional
psychologist association's newletters. Dr. Raleigh also serves as
a reviewer for several professional publications.
Dr. Fred strongly
believes that pharmacists are a liaison health care professional
serving to improve patient health and knowledge about medications
through close collaboration with the patient's other health care
providers. Through continuous interactions with patients, health
care professionals and administrators he offers a unique perspective
on how all parties can work together as a team to provide win-win
goals for all involved parties.
Finally, Fred
is uniquely both a scientist and an adept public presenter. Through
sometimes nontraditional methods, Dr. Fred fully engages audiences
at continuing education seminars, and develops training media that
holds the participants attention. |
